A painting of the glorious pietra dura (stone inlay) work in marble with semiprecious stones, as seen on the tomb of I’Timad-ud-Daulah. The underlying grid of the construction lines for this geometric pattern is deliberately not erased, paying homage to the hard work that goes behind creating these beautiful patterns.
